COVID-19 Policy

Every person that attends an IMUA activity at either North Star Beach or the Coast Guard Beach must have completed a waiver. This includes launching personal canoes, working on canoes, using club equipment, etc.

Complete the online waiver now.

Every paddler that is within 6 feet for longer than 15 minutes in a 24 hour period of someone having a positive COVID test must isolate for 10 days, or 7 days with a negative test.

      1. That padder must communicate this to IMUA Board of Directors, who will communicate the event of COVID Exposure to club members. This will be done via all club email.
      2. It is the responsibility of Imua to report a positive test for a paddler that has participated in a practice to the OC Health Department.

IMUA members must be prepared to manage how we are perceived within our local community.

Please consider the ramifications that one positive COVID-19 exposure might have on IMUA, our site permit, race permits and reputation within our local community.

Sanitation of shared equipment and following CDC guidelines:

      1. Clubs must post and implement — and follow through! — a plan to have all shared equipment sanitized between uses.
      2. Mask wearing and physical distancing at all times when at practice sites.
      3. You can not be 6 feet apart in an OC6.

Please continue to follow guidance from the CDC and your local government.

Mahalo for your cooperation and dedication to IMUA Outrigger!!!
