Through outrigger canoe paddling, this program promotes self-esteem and teaches lessons of teamwork, trust, personal effort, discipline, and fair play in a positive and challenging learning environment. IMUA Outrigger promotes respect for the ocean, community, and family, and encourages teamwork utilizing the outrigger canoe and the culture it embodies.
